2324 English Week: Embracing “Love and Growth”
The annual Tack Ching Girls’ Secondary School English week had a successful run for its second consecutive year following a pandemic induced break.
The English Week took place from Monday, 6th to Thursday, 9th May 2024. This year’s theme was “Love and Growth”. Throughout the week, students participated in activities that emphasized love and growth through the positive values of Caring for Others, Perseverance, Respect and Responsibility.
To kick things off, the principal and vice principals launched the English week by showing students the connections of these important values in their lives. This was beautifully illustrated through putting together puzzle pieces to form a whole heart of values that encompassed love and growth.
The rest of the week was full of fun and games where students enjoyed quizzes, word searches, songs, riddles, and many more activities. There were plenty of mini prizes to be won with snacks and drinks redeemed after accumulating enough points.
The finale was on Thursday 9th May where a grand draw was held and some lucky winners left with spectacular prizes.
To sum it all up, this was a wonderful week that showcased students’ resilience because they were willing to persist in speaking English throughout the week and trying out various activities.
We look forward to seeing you all during next year’s English week!
